I made this oil lamp after seeing a picture of one that was discovered on the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Egypt. Supposedly it was thousands of years old!
I also liked the form of the lamp; I never see it in glass. The lid of this piece is fused on so it does not come off. This is not a functioning oil lamp, but a decorative piece for an eclectic decor.
The piece measures about 8” tall and 11.5” wide.
