This natural wonder leaves you in the fog and mesmerized by the captured moment. This beautiful marble is about 2.5 inches in size and looks like a storm is brewing. Using a layer of dichromatic glass and copper, I create the perfect scene of fog. With tweezers in hand I twist the molten glass, impressing a twist that captivates. The marble is finished with clear glass that is shaped into a perfect sphere with a graphite mold.

A whirlpool is captured and stripes are added for an interesting perspective . This is an adorable window into a swirling color display, about an inch in diameter. Using traditional glass blowing methods, this marble is shaped into the perfect sphere.

Full of movement, this hand-sculpted glass turtle swims across colorful tide pool green coral with its front fins bent upwards and back fins kicking. The turtle's shell is created by melting optical tubes of color into the molten glass. Then layers of color are added to the bottom and a thick layer of clear glass is added to the top, making the turtle optical and appear as though it is underwater. 

It measures about 6” width x 4” depth x 6” height.

The bottom of each sculpture is hand signed by John Gibbons.

whimsical optimism for feeling groovy

The Yellow Wolley Starfish is created with a double yellow color pattern on the bottom of the sea star that gets magnified from a thick optical layer of clear glass on the top.

Images are of Creeping. Flat starfish will rest on a flat surface with no legs bent over the side. Creeping starfish have two bent legs, capturing the moment when the starfish is creeping away, just like it clings to rocks in the ocean.

It is about 6.5" in diameter.

Each starfish is a unique work of art and is hand signed by John Gibbons.
