This hand-blown glass bowl is about 10 inches wide and was created by rolling colorful glass rods on to a bubble of molten glass and then twisting the bubble into a rainbow spiral. Another layer of molten clear glass is gathered on the bubble and then blown into a sphere. The final move is to put another metal rod on the bottom and brake it off the blow pipe. The bubble is then heated and opened into the bowl with rods of graphite and wet newspaper. When finished, the bowl is placed into a 950 degree oven to cool slowly overnight. Food safe.
This bowl is made to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for recreating.
