The Shimmering Ocean Starfish is created by adding a thin layer of dichroic glass to a cobalt blue and white color pattern. Dichroic glass is metallic and glitter-like, giving the appearance of shimmering sand, appearing and disappearing in the light. This adds another dimension to the glass starfish.
Choose between Flat and Creeping Styles.
Images are of Creeping. When the glass is hot, John lets the molten glass fall over the edge of a metal table, capturing the moment when the starfish is creeping away, just like it clings to rocks in the ocean.
It measures about 5" in diameter.
